Julius Milton Johnson Jr., 54, of the 1200 block of Rose Ave., died Aug. 9, 1996, in Carney Hospital, Boston, Mass.
A native of Macon, N.C., Mr. Johnson was a self-employed construction worker.
Survivors include two daughters, Katrina Johnson, Missy Banks, both of Portsmouth; his father, Julius Johnson Sr. of Virginia Beach; three sisters, Mildred Ann Ramsey of Portsmouth, Florence Glasper of Chesapeake, Alberta Howell of Norfolk; two brothers, Darnell Johnson of Chesapeake, Bernard Phelps of New York, N.Y.; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Corprew Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Jack Gaines. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. Viewing will begin at noon today in the funeral home. Family and friends will assemble for the funeral service at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
