PATTIE WASHINGTON

Pattie Washington, 75, of the 700 block of Bold St., died Aug. 11, 1996, in Maryview Medical Center.

Born in Norfolk, she was the widow of William E. Washington. Mrs. Washington was a member of Wesley Union AMEZ, Norfolk, where she served faithfully on the Deaconess Board and Trustee Board.

Survivors include two daughters, Barbara A. Johnson of Norfolk, Diane W. Arnold of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Maude Williams of Chesapeake, Ruth Reid of Virginia Beach; a brother, James E. Ricks; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a devoted nephew, Milton O. Washington of Fayetteville, N.C., two devoted nieces, Rebecca Mosley of Portsmouth, Barbara Foster of Norfolk; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in Wesley Union, AMEZ, Norfolk, by the Rev. P.N. Shannon. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Viewing will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at the Serenity Funeral Home and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church. Family and friends will assemble at 12:15 at 734 Bold St. for the procession to the church.
