NORMA E. BISHOP

Norma E. Bishop, 75, died Aug. 14, 1996.

A native of Kinston, N.C., she was the widow of Alfred Warren Bishop. A retired buyer for Sears & Roebuck and Ames & Bronley, Mrs. Bishop was a member of Christ and St. Luke's Episcopal Church and the Retired Officer's Association. Also she was an active member of Baylake Pines Civic League and Willoughby Spit Civic League.

Survivors include two sons, Eddie Bishop, and his wife, Carolyn E. Bishop of Virginia Beach, William Bishop, and his wife, Jacqueline A. Bishop of Norfolk; two sisters, Edna Howard of Kinston, Helen Rainey of Norfolk; a brother, Phillip Taylor of Kinston; four grandchildren, Laura Bishop, Sara Bishop, both of Norfolk, Taylor Bishop, Turner Bishop, both of Virginia Beach.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel by the Rev. Jim Sell. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society.
