Michael Edward Bowles Sr., 52, of the 1800 block of Oyster Bay Lane, died Aug. 13, 1996, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mr. Bowles, a native of Roanoke, was a production supervisor for Planters Peanut Company and was a member of Nansemond River Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Willis Bowles; a daughter, Kristy Williamson and her husband, Rick, of Suffolk; a son, Michael Edward Bowles II and his wife, Terri Lynn, of Suffolk; his mother, Mary Worley Bowles of Portsmouth; a sister, Barbara Bowles Smith and her husband, Bobby, of Fairhope, Ala.; and four grandchildren, Christopher Evans, Travis Evans, Trae Michael Bowles and Nikki Bowles.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Baker-Foster Funeral Home, Bennett's Creek Chapel, by the Rev. Tim Piland. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. Friends may join the family today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Bennett's Creek Football Association, P.O. Box 5014, Suffolk, Va. 23435.
