FRANKLIN C. RICHARDSON

Franklin Carlisle Richardson, 77, a resident of Accomac for 38 years and formerly of Virginia Beach, died Aug. 12, 1996, in Onley Medical Center.

Born and raised in Birds Nest, he was a retired mechanic in Public Works at Norfolk Naval Air Station. He was a U.S. Navy World War II veteran and was a member of Clark Presbyterian Church, Daugherty, for most of his life. He served 40 years in the National Guard and was a member of the D.A.V. and Drummondtown Lee Ruritan Club. He was predeceased by his parents, George Franklin Richardson and Margaret Catherine Richardson; stepmother, Margaret Fitchett Richardson; sister, Mary Barnes; brothers, Norwood Paige Richardson and George C. Richardson.

Surviving are his wife, Elsia Anna Masters Richardson; children, Judy Richardson Wright of Accomac, Diana Richardson Perry of Norfolk, Gary Thomas Richardson of Chesapeake; two sisters, Winnie Young of Onancock, Mildred Alford of Wilmington, Del.; three brothers, Norman Winston Richardson of Norfolk, James Arnold Richardson of Exmore, Ivan Preston Richardson of Snow Hill, Md.; grandchildren, Carlene Wright Eller, Richard Webster Wright II, Harry Vernon Wright, Jacquelynn Nicole Perry and Scott Teleshuk.

A funeral will be conducted 2 p.m. today in Red Bank Cemetery, Marionville, by the Rev. William Plonk. Contributions may be made to Clark Presbyterian Church, c/o Mrs. Kitty Clark, 24005 Custis Neck Road, Accomac, Va. 23301 or the to the American Heart Association, c/o Mrs. S.K. Ames, Cape Charles 23310. Williams-Onancock Funeral Home is in charge.
