Karl Egon Kleinbeck, 71, of the 1700 block of White Marsh Road, died Aug. 14, 1996, in his residence.
Mr. Kleinbeck, a native of Karlsruhe, Germany, was a retired deep sea diver for the Germany Bomb Squad and a retired sales clerk for Michelin Tire Co. in Germany. He was the founder, coach, treasurer, and captain of his hometown soccer team, F.C. Heidenstucker. He was predeceased by his parents, Freida Dienert Kleinbeck and Alfred Kleinbeck.
Survivors include a sister, Gertrude K. Parker of Suffolk; a brother, Rudi R. Kleinbeck of Suffolk; an aunt, Luise Krust of Karlsruhe, Germany; two nieces, Jane E. Beamon of Suffolk and Rose P. Carter of Kitty Hawk, N.C.; two great-nieces, Amy N. Beamon of Suffolk and Heather R. Carter of Kitty Hawk; a great-nephew, Jonathan W. Carter of Kitty Hawk.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today by the Rev. Michael D. Halley in Holly Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the residence. Hill Funeral Home is in charge.
