FLORENCE B. KERR

Mrs. Florence C. Bricker Kerr passed away Aug. 15, 1996, at Langley Air Force Base Hospital, Hampton.

She was born July 23, 1913, in Chesterfield County, Va., and had been a member of First United Methodist Church, Hampton.

Mrs. Kerr is survived by her husband of 61 years, Col. John Ward Kerr, U.S. Air Force, retired; two sons, John W. Kerr Jr. of Virginia Beach and James B. Kerr of Richmond; a daughter, Betty Ann Hicks of Annandale; two brothers, Charles and Elwood Bricker; three sisters, Evelyn Phelps, Doris Shadle and Elisabeth Watson; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Parklawn Memorial Park by the Rev. John Wimer. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday in the R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 753 Thimble Shoals Blvd., suite 2B, Newport News, Va. 23606 or to a favorite charity.
