ROBERT T. MURPHY

Robert Thomas Murphy, of 75 Wesley Ave., died Aug. 12, 1996, in a local hospital.

A native of Columbia County, Fla., Mr. Murphy was the widower of Betty Murphy. He was a retired truck driver for Block Drum Company.

Survivors include five daughters, Rhonda Faison, Venita Long, Valerie Leggett, Deborah Dawkins and Mary Richardson; eight sons, Robert Murphy Jr., Frank Murphy, Gerald Murphy, Patrick Murphy, Kevin Yancey, Wendell Murphy, Rodney Murphy, Shawn Murphy and Lornezo Broadway; two sisters; a brother; 25 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be conducted at noon Monday in Calvary Cemetery, Norfolk, by the Rev. Anthony Moses. Friends may join the family at the home of Emma Eaton, 2025 Dawnee Brook Trail-N., Chesapeake, for a procession to the gravesite. Graves Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
