ELIZABETH W. HARRIS

Elizabeth W. Harris, 80, died Thursday, Aug. 15, 1996, in Martin General Hospital.

She was the wife of the late Charles W. Harris of Plymouth and the daughter of the late John I. and Callie S. Williford.

Mrs. Harris was born in Bertie County and was a member of the Windsor United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of the Medical College of Virginia and retired as a registered nurse from Washington County Hospital.

Survivors include, Lida Perry Lawrence of Windsor, N.C.; two nieces, Caroline Perry Pate of Raleigh, N.C., Sandra Cox of Greensboro, N.C.; a nephew, J.M. Perry of New Bern, N.C.; four great-nieces; and two great-nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. today in Edgewood Cemetery by the Rev. Clyde Denny. The family will be at the home of Mrs. Lida P. Lawrence, 105 Baker St., Windsor, N.C. Memorial gifts may be made to the Bertie County Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 74, Windsor, N.C. 27983 or to the Windsor United Methodist Church, 408 S. Queen St., Windsor, N.C. 27983 Walker Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
