Herman Wilson Casey, 75, of the 1100 block of Tanager Trail, died Aug. 17, 1996, in a Virginia Beach hospital.
Born in Leesburg, Va., he retired from Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Co. after 30 years of service. Mr. Casey was a charter member of the Virginia Beach Rescue Squad and a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, Virginia Beach Masonic Lodge 274, Khedive Temple and Commandary of The Royal Chapter 68.
Preceded in death by his wife, Hildegarde W. Casey, Mr. Casey is survived by a daughter, Candice C. Hill; two grandchildren, Catherine R.W. Hill and Casey E. Hill, all of Bedford, Mass.; and a good friend, Barbara Fulgham.
A chapel service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel, by the Rev. Andrew MacBeth. Burial will be in Eastern Shore Chapel Cemetery, Virginia Beach. The family will receive friends this evening from 7 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Virginia Beach Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 945, Virginia Beach, Va. 23451.
