Hilda Theresa Cooper, 74, of the 900 block of Robert Hall Blvd., died Aug. 17, 1996, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mrs. Cooper was born in Norfolk and was retired as a toll collector from the Jordan Bridge Commission. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Chesapeake and Chesapeake Crossing Senior Citizens Club.
Survivors include a daughter, Diane Cooper Garnes of Chesapeake; a son, Jack F. Cooper Jr. of Suffolk; three brothers, Ronald O'Donnell of Columbia, S.C., Michael O'Donnell of Chesapeake and Robert O'Donnell of Arkansas; a grandson, Jeffrey L. Cooper; a granddaughter, Holly Sabaka; and a great-granddaughter, Savannah Sabaka.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Riverside Memorial Park by the Rev. Dave Libengood. The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church Building Fund.
