MILD WEATHER MAY HOLD FOR YET ANOTHER WEEK

When it comes to nice weather, can you ever have too much of a good thing?

With any luck, no.

Hampton Roads' run of generally pleasant days appears likely to continue through this week, at least. As yet, the mercury has not slipped above 85 this month at the National Weather Service office at Norfolk International Airport.

Sunday was a pretty nice summer day all across the mid-Atlantic region.

Several small waterspouts were reported by lifeguards at Assateague Island State Park in Maryland. They were caused by a relatively weak thunderstorm that was just offshore and southeast of the park.

A few small thunderstorms developed near Richmond during the afternoon and some light rain occurred near Norfolk, but the vast majority of the region remained dry.

And there's little worry for any rain in the days ahead - at least through Thursday. Here's the Hampton Roads forecast:

Today - Sunny with a high in the low to mid-80s and light northeast winds.

Tonight - Clear with a low in the mid- to upper 60s and light winds.

Tuesday - Sunny again with a high in the low to mid-80s.

Wednesday and Thursday - Continued partly sunny in the daytime and fair at night with a high in the 80s and a low in the 60s.
