Two men photographed by an ATM security camera Saturday are being sought in connection with the slaying of an airman stationed at Langley Air Force Base.
Dramatic photographs of the two men - apparently forcing the airman to withdraw money - were released Tuesday by the York County sheriff's office, which is trying to find out who the men are.
``They're suspects in the murder,'' said Kimber Extine of the sheriff's office. ``When you see that picture, doesn't it make you angry? We hope this picture makes people angry and they call us and tell us who this guy is.''
A motorist found the body of Airman 1st Class Eric Michael Nesbitt in a remote area west of Yorktown on Saturday. Nesbitt had been shot eight times in the arms, stomach and back.
Nesbitt's wallet and 1995 Nissan pickup - shown in the photo - are missing. The pickup is purple with the right front fender and hood painted with black primer for a paint job, investigators said.
About 11:50 p.m., Nesbitt made a $60 withdrawal at the teller machine at a Crestar Bank in the Coliseum Crossing shopping center in Hampton, photos show. About 20 minutes later, Nesbitt returned, this time sitting in the center of the front seat with a man on either side. He withdrew $200.
``I think the picture shows it all,'' Extine said. ``He was scared to death.''
Nesbitt left his part-time job at an auto parts store late Friday. Tara Brown, a fellow airman who also works at the store, said Nesbitt's best friend was expecting to meet him at the base that night. Nesbitt, 21, of Gilbertsville, N.Y., was a transportation specialist. MEMO: The Associated Press contributed to this story. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
