Carnation Nutritional Products announced Tuesday that it is voluntarily recalling an incorrectly labeled soy formula for babies.
Consumption of some 13-ounce cans of Carnation Alsoy Concentrate could cause dehydration, diarrhea, cramping and vomiting in infants. Infants who might consume the undiluted formula in several feedings could suffer seizures without medical treatment, the company said.
The mislabeled cans were distributed in Virginia, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Oklahoma and Texas.
The production code - 6150EWAC047 - appears on the bottom of mislabeled cans. The mistaken labels say ``Do not add water'' in English and French on the lids, but other directions clearly state that water must be added. MEMO: Contact Carnation Nutritional Products at: (800) 543-3112.
