JOE W. FRAZIER

Joe Wesley Frazier, 65, of the 3900 block of Starboard Road, died Aug. 20, 1996, in his residence.

Mr. Frazier, a native of Statesboro, Ga., was a former brakeman for Beltline Railroad and was self-employed at the time of his death. He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church and VFW Post 9382. He was past coach of Western Branch Little League and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife, Gwen M. Frazier; two sons, Jeffrey C. Frazier and Terry L. Frazier, both of Chesapeake; two sisters, Bonnie Shiver of Powhatan, Va., Robbie Drautz of Richmond; a brother, Stanley Frazier of Norfolk; and a grandson, Brandon Frazier. He was preceded in death by a sister, Linda McSwain.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday by the Rev. Gene V. Primm in Greenlawn Mausoleum Chapel. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Hampton Roads.
