William R. Gorman, 54, of the Oceanfront, died Aug. 20, 1996, with his family at home.
Mr. Gorman's family summed up his life with the following Bible passage from Ecclesiastes, Chapter 3, Verses 1-4: ``To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance.''
An adventurist of the world, a business consultant throughout the U.S. and Canada, he has departed on a new adventure. He was a renowned motivationalist for the RV and Marine industries and recipient of the RV Dealer's Association's prestigious J.B. Summer's Award in 1995.
To carry on his adventure on this Earth is Bill's beloved wife and soul mate, Beverly M. Gorman. Their romance began in high school and their marriage continued for 36 years together. Other survivors include their daughter, Christine, and son-in-law, Kevin Joyner, and three grandchildren, Andrew, Jessica, and Skyler of Virginia Beach; their son, Geoff, and fiancee Colleen Loboda of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; Bill's mother, Irene Gorman of Livonia, Mich.; and mother- and father-in-law, Thomas and Esther Andary of Virginia Beach; and brother-in-law, Thomas R. Andary of Norfolk.
Visitation with the family on Friday will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Road, from 6 to 9 p.m. and Saturday visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m., when services will commence in the chapel of the funeral home.
