Cottie M. Hooker, 72, of the 1700 block of Des Moines Ave., died Aug. 18, 1996, in her residence.
Mrs. Hooker, a native of Oak City, N.C., was a member and deaconess of Mount Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Elder Robert L. Hooker; three daughters, Luvone C. Dixon of Alexandria, Va., Garnette T. Jones of Raleigh, N.C., Shirley G. Smalling of Long Island, N.Y.; a son, James Lee Hooker of Chesapeake; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday by the Rev. W.S. Hampton in Mount Calvary Baptist Church. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Fisher Funeral Home is in charge.
