Will Joseph Lavelle of the 800 block of Aragona Blvd. died Aug. 21, 1996, at his residence.
Mr. Lavelle was retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years of service. He was a member of the Fleet Reserve Association (NU)166 and also a member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Sally Lavelle; a daughter, Ellen Crow and her husband, Douglas; two sons, Patrick Lavelle, William Lavelle and his wife, Susan, all of Virginia Beach; three brothers, Eugene and Patrick Lavelle of Scranton, Pa., and Dr. Joseph Lavelle of Coopersburg, Pa.; four sisters, Marie Lovett of Highstown, N.J., Ann Kalenick of Taylor, Pa., Patricia Miles of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Helen Parker of Woodbridge, Va.; three grandchildren, Carrie and Stephen Lavelle and Jennifer Crow, all of Virginia Beach. Mr. Lavelle was preceded in death by a daughter, Janie Lavelle.
The family will receive friends at Rosewood Chapel, Kellum Funeral Home, today from 7 to 9 p.m. A graveside service will be conducted Monday, Aug. 26, 1996, in Arlington National Cemetery with military honors.
