Allie Mae Pierce Taylor, 80, of Route 1, died Aug. 20, 1996, in Roanoke Chowan Hospital, Ahoskie, N.C.
A native of Bertie County, N.C., she was the widow of Joseph James Taylor Jr. and a retired self-employed merchant. She was a member of Christian Harbor Baptist Church in Harrellsville.
She is survived by a daughter, Marie T. Edwards and her husband, Ronald V. Edwards of Birmingham, Ala.; two grandchildren, Angela E. Richard and Jason T. Edwards, both of Birmingham.
A funeral will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday in Christian Harbor Baptist Church by the Rev. Hugh Mizelle and Dr. T.E. Thieman. The family will receive friends at the Garrett Funeral Home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to the Pine Forest Rest Home, Potecasi, N.C. 27867 or to the Woodland Rescue Squad.
