The Truth In Action Drama Team, on tour from Bob Jones University, is scheduled to perform at Fairview Baptist Church in Chesapeake on Thursday at 7 p.m.
The six-member student team, on a tour of the northeastern United States, will present a two-part program open to church and community members.
``City Sites That Stir the Soul,'' the first presentation, portrays a pastor's missionary work in the inner city.
The second part of the program is an original story which takes the audience behind the scenes of a radio call-in show. The message of the story is geared to Christians and non-Christians.
``No form of gospel presentation makes a greater impact on so many types and ages of people as drama,'' said Gary H. McClenney, pastor of Fairview Baptist Church. ``Hearing a gospel has power. Seeing and hearing has permanence.''
Bob Jones is a fundamentalist Christian liberal arts university in Greenville, S.C. The students performing are from North Carolina, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Nebraska and New Hampshire.
Fairview Baptist Church is located at 1204 Tatemstown Road. There is no charge for the program, but seating is on a first-come basis. A nursery will be provided for children under 3. MEMO: For additional information, call the church office at 543-3238. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
