Ruth Allard Lofurno, 80, died Thursday, Aug. 22, 1996.
A native of Norfolk, she had been a Hampton resident for 54 years and was preceded in death by her husband, Frank A. Lofurno.
A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph Catholic Church by the Rev. Vincent J. Douglass, CSsR, with interment in Parklawn Memorial Park. A Christian wake service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday in R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home after which the family will receive friends until 9 p.m.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Poor Clare Monastery, 28 Harpersville Road, Newport News, 23601.
