Bernice A. Demps, 75, of the 1200 block of Florida Ave., died Aug. 20, 1996, in Maryview Hospital.
She was a member of Celestial Baptist Church, Willing Workers, Senior Choir, Duplex Social and Savings Club and Eastern Star Chapter (NU)98.
Survivors include her husband, John E. Demps; a daughter, Karen Bernita Demps; three sons, Attorney Jesse E. Demps, Reginald Steven Demps Sr., and Kelvin Brian Demps Sr.; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two daughters-in-law, Betty Demps-Grant and Dianne Demps. She was predeceased by a son, John Rodney Demps.
A funeral will be conducted Monday at noon by the Rev. Leon J. Boone in Celestial Baptist Church. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 11 a.m. Fisher Funeral Home is in charge. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
