Jack Goodman Holland, 90, a longtime Franklin businessman, died Aug. 24, 1996, at Southampton Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Holland was a native of Holland, Va., and the son of the late Sol W. and Sally Edwards Holland, and the widower of Reba Collier Holland. He was a member of Franklin Baptist Church, its Bruner Bible Class and a member of the Chancel Choir for 39 years. Mr. Holland was a charter member of the Franklin Lions Club.
He is survived by a daughter, Jane H. Lowe, and her husband Jim of Franklin; two grandchildren, Mark A. Lowe and Dawn L. Hinkle; and a great-grandchild, John F. Hinkle.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Wright Funeral Home by the Rev. Drs. Roy DeBrand and Ira D. Hudgins. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Franklin Baptist Church or a favorite charity.
