Patricia Lillian Lawson Spring, 49, of the 5900 block of Poplar Hall Drive, passed away on Aug. 22, 1996 in Sentara Leigh Hospital after a long illness.
``Pat'' was a resident of Bobbitt Apartments where she had many devoted friends and was a native of Norfolk. She was the seventh child of eight children born to the late Fred J. and Ruth E. Lawson and was the wife of the late Guy Mathew Spring.
Although ``Pat'' had a serious handicap for many years, she will be remembered with love by her many friends and family for her warm heart, winning smile and desire to always help others. She has gone on to her reward.
She is survived by her brother, James ``Jim'' Lawson; sister-in-law, Rita Lee Lawson; and nephew, Eric Lawson, all of Virginia Beach. She is also survived by her sister, ``Ruth May'' Vasu; brother-in-law, Bharat Vasu; and niece, Jenny Vasu, all of Tulsa, Okla.; two half brothers, Hugh Evans of Las Vegas and Jack Evans of Rochester, N.Y.; a special friend, Viola Scott of Norfolk; and many other friends and relatives.
A graveside serfvice will be held at 1 p.m. today in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Thomas Jennings Jr. officiating. Altmeyer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
