Hilda Taylor Skeeter, 76, of the 800 block of W. Constance Road, died Aug. 24, 1996, in Sentara Chesapeake Hospital.
Born in Nansemond Co., Va., she was the widow of William Thomas Skeeter. She was retired as housekeeping supervisor of Obici Hospital after 30 years service. She was a member of Wilroy Baptist Church, Suffolk, and the Woman's Fellowship.
Survivors include two daughters, Judith L. Goddard of Fr. Worth, Tex., Elizabeth S. Holland of Klamath Falls, Ore.; a son, W. Dallas Skeeter of Suffolk; a sister, Mary E. Duke of Suffolk; four grandsons; two great-granddaughters. She was predeceased by her mother, Lydia Austin Taylor and her father, John Henry Taylor.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in Holly Lawn by the Rev. Carter Dey. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in Harrell Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Wilroy Baptist Church Building Fund, 306 Williams Road, Suffolk, Va. 23434.
