ALICE V. GOODMAN

Alice Virginia Goodman, 87, of the 100 block of W. 39th St., died Aug. 25, 1996, in Norfolk Community Hospital.

Miss Goodman worked for 39 years as a dietician and cafeteria supervisor in the cafeteria in Building 193 at the Norfolk Naval Supply Center and then worked at Old Dominion until she had a second retirement. She was a native of Norfolk and the daughter of the late James E. and Mary Gill Goodman. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Taylorsville.

Survivors include a sister, Audrey T. Nibblett of Portsmouth; a brother, Quincy W.A. Goodman of Norfolk; a sister-in-law, Mary L. Goodman; a brother-in-law, John Nibblett Sr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The funeral will be held at noon Friday by the Rev. Thomas M. Steele in Riddick Funeral Service. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Viewing will be Thursday from 2 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. and at other times at 216 W. 27th St. The funeral will assemble at 959 Reservoir Ave., the home of Ernestine Harrison.
