Evelyn J. Sharpe, 58, of the 3400 block of Westminister Drive, died Aug. 26, 1996, in Maryview Hospital, Portsmouth.
Born in Stokes, N.C., Mrs. Sharpe was a computer operator specialist for Norfolk Naval Supply Center and retired after 20 years of service.
Survivors include husband, John D. Sharpe; a son, John D. Brown of Portsmouth; two sisters, Sadie Brown of New Brunswick, N.J., Edith Slaughter of Sebastian, Fla.; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Corprew Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Leroy Ricks Sr. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery, Portsmouth. Viewing at the funeral home will be at 10 a.m. Friday.
