Betty Vick Wine, 80, of the 4400 block of Winchester Drive, died Aug. 26, 1996, in her residence.
A native of Courtland, Va., Mrs. Wine was the owner of Barbette Dress Shop. She was a member of Westhaven Baptist Church, Miriam Chapter (NU)94, Order of the Eastern Star and past president of Grove Park Garden Club.
Survivors include two daughters, Vicky Ferrell and her husband, Carroll, Marsha Matthews and her husband, Dan, all of Portsmouth; a son, Frank Wine III and his wife, Debbie, of Portsmouth; Frances Ward, Ida Lassiter, both of Portsmouth, Corine Macon of Norfolk; seven grandchildren, Joseph Wine, Joshua Wine, Mark Matthews, Dan Matthews, Michael Ratanataya, Clayton Ferrell and Catherine Ferrell.
A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in Westhaven Baptist Church by the Rev. W. Thomas Wood in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, where an Eastern Star Service will be held at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Westhaven Baptist Church.
