STEVEN W. GOOD JR.

Steven Wayne Good Jr., 18, of 3070 Ridge Hollow Road, passed away Monday, Aug. 26, 1996, at his home.

Mr. Good was born Oct. 1, 1977, in Rockingham County, son of Steven Wayne Good Sr. and Jo Ann Nixon Good of Edinburg. He was a 1996 graduate of Central High School and an incoming freshman at Bridgewater College. While at Central he was a member of the junior varsity and varsity football teams and junior varsity and varsity baseball teams, where he received all-district honors, was president of the Letterman's Club and received two citizenship awards.

Surviving along with his parents, are his grandfather and step-grandmother, Samuel and Mary Good of Harrisonburg; grandmother, Edith Nixon of Suffolk; step-great-grandmother, Doris Atkins of Bridgewater; his devoted brother, Samuel J. Good at home; aunts and uncles, Lee Good Landis and Alan Landis of Bridgewater, Pat Good Shiflet and Bob Shiflet of Dayton, Susan Nixon Lowe and Jerry Lowe of Suffolk and Richard Nixon of Suffolk; five first cousins, Jeremy and Michelle Lowe, Whitney and Clay Shiflet and Ashley Shiflet. He was preceded in death by a grandfather, Julian Nixon and a grandmother, Gloria Jean Good.

A memorial service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church, Woodstock. The Rev. George Bowers and the Rev. Lewis Armentrout will officiate. Burial will be private in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Bridgewater. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. today in Dellinger Funeral Home, Woodstock, and following the memorial service at the church.
