Salina B. Yancy, 84, of the 900 block of Douglas Ave., died Aug. 26, 1996.
The widow of Charlie Yancy, she was a member of Zion Baptist Church. She was an usher, pastor's aid and a member of the Starlight Club.
Survivors include three daughters, Nannie Mae Newsome, Thelma Boomer, Vivan Y. Reese; three sons, Charlie Yancy Jr., Richard E. Yancy and David L. Yancy; a sister, Mary F. Hazward; 30 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Zion Baptist Church by the Rev. H. Edward Whitaker. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery. Fisher Funeral Home is handling arrangements. The family will be at 1226 Highland Ave. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
