Arnold Bernard Haskins, 46, of the 200 block of Ivey St., died Aug. 25, 1996.
He was a native of Portsmouth. Mr. Haskins retired 13 years ago as a custodian for Portsmouth Schools after 15 years of service.
Survivors include his wife, Stella L. Haskins; his mother, Irene Johnson Haskins of Portsmouth and his father, William Thomas Haskins Sr.; two sisters, Vivian D. Futrell of Suffolk, Dorothy P. Smith of Portsmouth; eight brothers, William Thomas Haskins Jr. of Smithfield, Va., Charles Linwood Haskins, James Russell Haskins, Richard Leroy Haskins, Glenn C. Haskins, Larry C. Haskins, Samuel Haskins, all of Portsmouth, Michael L. Haskins of Bowie, Md.; stepmother, Mrs. Ida E. Haskins of Norfolk, father-in-law, Mr. Winfred Brown and mother-in-law, Rosa Lee Brown, both of Portsmouth; and a host of devoted relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday in New Hope Church of God in Christ, 3232 Brest Ave., Norfolk, by Dr. Herman Clark Sr. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Family and friends will assembly at 200 Ivey St., Portsmouth, at 11 a.m. Saturday for the funeral procession to the church.
