Adela Daingerfield Perry, 83, widow of the Rev. DeWolf Perry, died at her home at The Willows in Westboro, Mass., early Thursday morning.
Kitty Perry was very much a part of her husband's Episcopal ministries in parishes in Provincetown, Newton, and Fitchburg, Mass.; Charleston, S.C.; and Waterbury, Conn., for 50 years. In their retirement in Princeton, Mass., she was a valued and loved extension of his ministry to many clergy and aspiring clergy in the Episcopal Diocese of Western Massachusetts.
Daughter of John H. and Lucretia D. Daingerfield, Mrs. Perry was born in Charlotte, N.C., and spent her youth in Philadelphia, Pa., and Norfolk, Va. She attended the National Cathedral School in Washington, D.C.
Mrs. Perry is survived by three children, James DeWolf Perry of Princeton, Mass.; J.H. Daingerfield Perry of Weston, Mass.; and Adela Perry Baker of Hopkinton, Mass.; and seven grandchildren.
