Sterling Gary Jones, of the 900 block of Scott St., died Aug. 29, 1996, in a local hospital.
Born in Scotland Neck, N.C., Mr. Jones was a retired laborer.
Survivors include eight sisters, Arlene Neal, Carolyn Lynn, both of Chesapeake, Bonita Lynn of Hampton, Roberta Cherry of Norfolk, Lenese Russell of Virginia Beach, Eleanor Cherry of Trenton, N.J., Betty Jenkins of Portsmouth, Margaret Wilson of Baltimore, Md.; two brothers, Paul Jones of Norfolk, Allen Jones of Willingboro, N.Y.; an uncle, James Hines; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Graves Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Anthony Moses. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may join the family at 2709 Sunrise Ave., Sunrise Hills.
