CRIME LINE

Local police are seeking public assistance in solving these cases:

VIRGINIA BEACH - Between July 12 and 31, police received 17 reports of boats that had been vandalized and burglarized near Shore Drive.

The Blue Marlin Marina in the 2200 block of Red Tide Road was the hardest hit. More than $37,000 in property was stolen.

Thieves took Loran radars, depth finders, rods, reels, tackle, tools, CD players, stereos, binoculars and a shotgun. Damage to the boats totaled more than $15,000.

CHESAPEAKE - In the evening hours of Aug. 25, Antonio Cash, who is also known as ``Paco,'' was shot at a convenience store at the intersection of Campostella Road and Border Road.

There were several witnesses, but they have not come forward.

The first suspect is described as black, in his mid-20s, with a light to medium complexion, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, and wearing black jeans, a black tank top and white tennis shoes.

The second suspect is described as black, in his mid-20s, with a light complexion, 5 feet 9 inches to 5 feet 11 inches tall, and 170 pounds. He was wearing black jeans and a purple shirt.

They were in a late-model gray or black, mid-size vehicle with Virginia license plates RAB 8421.

HAMPTON - On Aug. 3, at 12:56 a.m., two men robbed the 7-Eleven store in the 200 block of North Mallory St. The men had handguns and, after demanding money from a clerk, fled south on Mallory Street.

The first suspect is described as black, 16 or 17, short, with short rows of braided hair. He was wearing a dark shirt, Army-green pants and an Army-green cap.

The second suspect is described as black, 16 or 17, 5 feet 7 inches tall and 120 pounds. He was wearing a dark shirt, dark pants and an Army-green cap.

Police provided these sketches of two suspects in a shooting at a

convenience store at Campostella and Border roads. They were in a

late-model gray or black, mid-size vehicle with Virginia license

plates RAB 8421.
