Frederick B. Hill & Co. has promoted Renee L. Pendleton and Daryll H. Stephenson to audit managers and Angela O. Walker to supervisor. Cindy T. Kochersperger was promoted to manager of the firm's retirement plan administration practice.
Also, Caron E. Crouse, Catherine H. Meyer and Cynthia A. Rich were named associates in the audit department. And, Marti L. Morgan was named to the retirement plan administration practice and Judy L. Temme to the business services department.
BANKING
A. Beth Hughes was named assistant vice president-builder relations coordinator at Signet Bank. She is a real estate lender for the residential construction finance division at the Plume Street headquarters in Norfolk. She was previously the director of sales and marketing with the Alan Resh Group in Virginia Beach.
ARCHITECTURE
Keith M. Andreyko, Tina L. Keppler, Amelia G. McKinley, Sharon L. Szalai and Kevin M. Seymour were promoted to associates at Cederquist Rodriguez Ripley Maddux in Norfolk. Andreyko is a Virginia registered architect and was previously with Williams, Tazewell & Associates; Keppler was previously an interior designer at Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri; McKinley, a certified interior designer, was previously with New Day Office Products of Portsmouth, and Szalai, a Virginia registered architect, was previously with Via Design.
EDUCATION
Katherine M. Loring was named director of Virginia Wesleyan College's Adult Studies Program. Prior to this, she was senior program administrator for the division of continuing education and summer sessions at Syracuse University. Loring succeeds Dorothy B. Hinman, director of the program from 1984 until last June 30. Hinman resigned to join a consulting firm in Chicago.
HEALTH CARE
Mary Herbert Daly was promoted to director of psychosocial services for Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters. She was previously manager of the pediatric social work department at the children's hospital.
And, John P. Pestian was named assistant professor of pediatrics in clinical outcomes at the Center for Pediatric Research, a joint program of Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters and Eastern Virginia Medical School. He was previously assistant professor of health administration at the Medical College of Virginia.
Also, Gail M. Waddell has joined Children's Health System as in-house legal counsel. She was previously a labor and corporate litigator for Hunton & Williams and special assistant to the Chesapeake Commonwealth's Attorney.
Dr. Roland Bercasio, a family practice physician, has joined the Sentara Medical Group, Denbigh in Newport News. Bercasio completed his residency at the Wheeling Hospital Family Practice, Wheeling, W.Va. in June.
INDUSTRY
Katherine Overkamp was appointed communications director for Goodwill Industries of Hampton Roads, Norfolk. She will be responsible for developing and implementing a year-round communications/public relations program. Prior to this, she was an associate in the communications department at United Way of South Hampton Roads.
Also, Lori Shelton was promoted to operations director at Goodwill. She will supervise the agency's transportation/production department, donated goods and the newly created new goods and surplus goods programs at seven retail outlets. She was marketing director for the organization.
REAL ESTATE
Bill Brackman was promoted to vice president at Riddle Associates Inc., a full service commercial real estate company in Chesapeake. Prior to this, he was an associate with the company. He has been with Riddle since 1993.
RETAIL
Farm Fresh has made some changes to its management staff. Orville Crook was promoted to vice president of finance. He was previously controller.
Dale Faunce was promoted to vice president of perishables. He was vice president of meat and seafood marketing.
Also, Michael Johannsen is now director of meat merchandising for Farm Fresh. He will manage all aspects of meat operations for both the combination store (Farm Fresh) and the discount store (Rack and Sack) divisions. He previously served as director of meat/deli/bakery for the Rack and Sack division.
And, George Weaver, formerly a meat buyer and merchandiser, was promoted to meat marketing manager for the company's Rack and Sack discount division.
TRAVEL
CI Travel appointed Cheryl Nelson to manager of its Navy Leisure Travel Offices-Tidewater. CI Travel will operate eight new offices located at area Naval installations and will provide leisure travel services for military personnel, their dependents and military retirees. Nelson was formerly acting manager of CBN Travel, a division of CI Travel. The new offices will open Sept. 3. MEMO: Career Track reports upper-level executive and management changes.
