James S. Green, 80, of the 400 block of Delaware Ave., died Aug. 29, 1996, at his residence.
Born in Southampton County, he was a member of First Baptist Church, South Hill. Mr. Green was retired from Norfolk & Western Railway Co.
He is survived by his wife, Dora E. Green of Norfolk; four sons, Willie Green, James E. Green of Norfolk, Ernest Green and Paul Green, both of Chesapeake; a daughter, Janet Freeman of Chesapeake.
Services will be at noon Tuesday in First Baptist Church, South Hill, Chesapeake, by the Rev. Michael Toliver. The family will receive friends at Fitchett Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m. today. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
