Evelyn M. Hill, 68, died Aug. 31, 1996, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Hill, a Catholic, was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and was the widow of Ernest H. Hill Sr. She was retired as a self-employed secretary with Ernie Hill's Auto Service.
Survivors include two sons, Ernie Hill Jr. and Eddie Hill, both of Virginia Beach; four sisters, Norma Bunting of Norfolk, Anna Cooper of Texas, Ethel Rose of Florida and Peggy Masiello of New York; three grandsons, Dustin, Devon and Cody. She was predeceased by a sister, Joan Reed.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Colonial Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, and all other times at her son Ernie Hill's home.
