Mary Ames Moore, 90, a resident of The Hermitage on the Eastern Shore, died Saturday, Aug. 31, 1996.
Mrs. Moore was born in Pungoteague and was a resident of Arlington, Va., for many years. She was an Episcopalian, a graduate of Longwood College and a public school teacher in Alexandria for 40 years. She was the daughter of the late Levin Gordon Ames and Ella Elizabeth Kellam Ames and widow of the late William H. Moore.
Survivors include a son, Charles E. Parker and daughter-in-law, Jean H. Parker of Charlotte, N.C.; and two grandsons, Scott Reid Parker of Charlotte and Sheppard Hall Parker of Austin, Texas.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Wednesday in St. George's Episcopal Church, Pungoteague, by the Rev. Dane Bragg. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Williams-Onancock Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Samaritan Fund of The Hermitage, 23610 North St., Onancock, Va. 23417.
