KIDS AND CIGARETTES - AND WORKERS

I am a rising freshman at Catholic High School and I have a few comments and concerns about Clinton's billboard affect on minors.

In my experience, we are not at all affected by cigarette advertisements on billboards. We are pressured by our peers or by following the example of our parents or other family members. Clinton is wrong in telling people what kind of billboard advertisements they should have or the style they should be.

Most of the cigarettes obtained by minors don't come from vending machines. For instance, a child can buy a pack of cigarettes at your local convenience store and the cashier won't ask for any ID. I guess the word convenience is taken too seriously.

Clinton thinks that he is doing something for the betterment of our country, but all he is doing is putting vendors, farmers and farm workers out of jobs.
