Over two hours waiting in eastbound tunnel traffic!
The waiting and backups have been worse in recent years. Yes, the traffic may be heavier, but what are the major causes? Is there a watchdog group monitoring the effectiveness of VDOT's handling of the tunnel?
How well staffed are they? What is their response time during peak hours? Is there a record of backups with causes that is being recorded to determine how better to handle these situations?
Can someone convince me that the Hampton Roads Bridge-Tunnel is not handled by a bunch of morons?
