Ethelyne Kristo, 75, died Aug. 29, 1996, of cancer and a stroke at a Norfolk hospital.
Survivors include her beloved husband, Pastor Arne Kristo; a son, Darrell of Virginia Beach; a daughter, Claudia ``CJ'' Pearce and her husband, John Pearce, of New Liskeard, Ontario, Canada; her two sisters, Nikki Gatzke of Ann Arbor, Mich., Nancy Sammons of Marion, Ill.; nieces, Linda Hool, Barbara Ann Avery; nephews, Ross Gatzke, Todd Gatzke and Grant Gatzke.
Her body will be cremated by Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hope Lutheran Church or to the American Cancer Society. A memorial service will be conducted by Pastors Paul Kettner and Christopher Otten at Hope Lutheran Church, 5350 Providence Road, Virginia Beach, at 11 a.m Saturday. Friends are invited to join the family at a reception in the church fellowship hall after the service.
