MARGARET L. WALKER

Margaret Louise Walker of the 1300 block of Kempsville Road died Aug. 30, 1996, in Lake Taylor Hospital.

Born in Blackridge, Va., she was the widow of Alzie F. Walker Sr. A homemaker, Mrs. Walker was a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church as choir mother and member of the Ways of Means committee.

Survivors include two daughters, Andrea Adams of Norfolk, Crystal Walker-Cooper of Centreville, Va.; a son, Alzie F. Walker II of Virginia Beach; three sisters, Thelma Watson of Baltimore, Md., Edith Hawkins of Seat Pleasant, Md., Barbara Mayo of Asbury Park, N.J.; four brothers, Waverly Person of Boulder, Colo., William Person of East Orange, N.J., Leroy Person of Glenarden, Md., Earl Person of Hall, Md.; five grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Rock Church by Pastor Clarence McPherson. Burial will be in Hampton National Cemetery. The family will be ready for viewing at 3 p.m. Wednesday. The family will assemble at 12:30 p.m. at 3908 Dupree Lane, Virginia Beach, for the procession. Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
