Sophie Helen Lettres Carlo, 77, of the 1800 block of Citadel Road, died September 2, 1996, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mrs. Carlo was a native and life-long resident of Norfolk. She was the widow of Belindo John Carlo. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, Norfolk. Mrs. Carlo was a graduate of St. Mary's Academy and attended the Norfolk division of the College of William and Mary.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Theresa Harrell of Norfolk; a son, John Peter Carlo of Norfolk; and a granddaughter, Mary Anne Harrell.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in St. Pius X Catholic Church by the Rev. William Dale. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. A Christian wake service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk Chapel. The family will be at 540 B. West Ocean View Ave., Norfolk.
