LUCIA C. WEBB

Lucia Cosby Webb, 69, died Sept. 1, 1996, at her residence.

Born and reared in Painter, she was the widow of the late Commander George I. Webb and the daughter of the late Dr. William Lee Cosby and the late Amine Cobb Cosby. Mrs. Webb was a member of Painter-Garrison United Methodist Church, National Society of Mayflower Descendants, president of Eastern Shore Chapter Dames 17th Century, Daughters of the American Revolution, secretary of A.A.R.P, volunteer at N.A.M. Hospital Business Office and served several years on Painter Town Council.

Survivors include a daughter, Michele Webb Twford of Painter; two sons, G. Scott Webb of Accomac, Va., Sean G. Webb of Richmond, Va.; three sisters, Amine Cosby Kellam of Jamesville, Va., Martha Cosby Matthews of Wachapreague, Va. and June Cosby Williams of Tyaskin, Md. She was predeceased by a brother, Col. William L. Cosby Jr.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Cape Charles Cemetery by the Rev. Clarence Bowen and the Rev. Carl T. Paughf. Doughty Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Memorials may be made to Cancer Center, Northampton-Accomack Memorial Hospital, P.O. Box 17, Nassawadox, Va. 23413.
