Andrew ``Shotgun'' Robbins, 91, of the 800 block of Goff St., died Aug. 31, 1996, in his home.
Born in Bertie Co., N.C., he was the widower of Pattie Mae Robbins. He retired as a seaman of Curtis Bay Towing Company after 44 years service. He was a member of Campostella Heights Seventh Day Adventist Church, Norfolk, the Seafarer's Union and the Hunters Square Civic League.
Survivors include a son and wife, John Obie and Vera Gregory of Willingsboro, N.J.; a sister, Dinah Valentine of Edenton, N.C.; two sisters-in-law, Helen Robbins, Dorothy Holley, both of Norfolk; a grandchild and wife, Robert and Sonja Brinkley of Hampton; and a great-grandchild, Kenya Brinkley of Hampton; a host of relatives and friends; and a special friend, Cornelia Forbes of Norfolk.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Campostella Heights Seventh Day Adventist Church, Norfolk, by Elder James Reid. Burial will be in Vine Oak Cemetery, Edenton. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. the day of the service. The family will assemble at the residence the day of the service. Graves Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
