Vernon Sutton, of the 100 block of Shanley Ave., died Aug. 28, 1996.
He was born in Norfolk County.
Survivors include his mother, Olive Wilson of Chesapeake; his father, Walter Wilson of Chesapeake; five sisters, Pinkey Brown, Catherine Wilson, Arlethia Eason, Vernell Hinton, all of Chesapeake, Courtney Pope of New York; a brother, Melvin Wilson of Norfolk; a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at 1:30 Thursday in New Weeping Mary Baptist Church by the Rev. John C. Smith. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Community Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements.
