Ellen Norvell Phillips, 82, of the 4600 block of Berrywood Road, died September 3, 1996.
Mrs. Phillips was a native of Norfolk. She was the widow of Franklin Hadley Phillips and was a member of Second Presbyterian Church, Norfolk.
Survivors include her daughter, Susan P. Kinloch of Northbrook, Ill.; her son, Franklin Hadley Phillips Jr. of Virginia Beach; her sister, Susan N. Sawyer of Florida; her brother, Loren Norvell of Arizona; and five grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Steven E. Frazier. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m Thursday at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts. Norfolk Chapel.
