FRED M. BECKNELL

Mr. Fred M. Becknell, 62, died Sept. 2, 1996 in Myrtle Beach.

Mr. Becknell began working for Taylor Salt and Chemical Company of Norfolk in 1954 as a clerk. His employment continued until his death. At the time of his death he was vice president and co-owner.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Mary Ann Becknell; two daughters, Debbie Polk and her husband, Chuck, and Kim Williams and her husband, John; grandchildren, Jason Polk, Leslie Polk, Sarah Polk, Mary Mac Williams and Kellen Williams; a brother, Bradley Becknell of Woodbury, N.J.; a sister, Betty Spaulding of Pensacola, Fla., and his little buddy, Missy Troubles.
