Wilma G. Conley, 41, of the 300 block of Cobblewood Arch, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday Aug. 28, 1996, at her residence.
Mrs. Conley was born in Scotland and was the daughter of the Rev. Thomas Girdwood and Mrs. Elizabeth Girdwood of Scotland. She was a third-grade teacher at Greenbrier Christian Academy for the past 12 years.
Other survivors include her husband, Robert E. Conley; her daughter, Emma E. Conley; her son, Iain D. Conley, all of Chesapeake; and her sister, Elizabeth McIntosh of Scotland.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Kempsville Baptist Church by Dr. Kelly Burris. Burial will be in Scotland.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations for the Conley children's education to Greenbrier Christian Academy Scholarship Fund, 311 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake, Va. 23320. The family will receive friends at 736 Waters Road, Chesapeake, immediately following the service. Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge, is handling arrangements.
