LAVERNE A. CREDLE

Laverne Annette Credle, 39, of 168 West Bay Ave., died Aug. 30, 1996, after a short illness.

Born in Norfolk, she was a daughter of Shirley Wilmore and Gene A. Credle. She was a member of New Weeping Mary Missionary Baptist Church.

Besides her parents, surviving are her son, Lance M. Credle; her fiance, Linwood E. Hill; paternal grandfather, Tevis J. Lewis Sr.; a sister, Mrs. Patrice Caldwell; a brother, Antione Credle; a stepbrother, Lt. Cmdr. Roderick Wilmore; stepmother, Mamie Credle and stepfather, Joseph Wilmore, both of Norfolk; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The body was taken to Graves Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 1 p.m. in New Weeping Mary Missionary Baptist Church by the Rev. John C. Smith Burial will be in the church cemetery. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
